A chopper flying over a well-attended California coastline abruptly commenced twirling out of control, ultimately descending rapidly and plunging into a row of palm fronds as beachgoers observed.

Videos shared on the internet capture the chopper beginning to twirl near Huntington Beach then descending in the direction of the edge of the beach, where it gets stuck amidst palm groves and a staircase near the coastal road.

Rescue Operation Information

The Huntington Beach fire department stated five people were rushed to the hospital comprising a pair who were in the aircraft and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” after the crash on the weekend.

Three individuals on the pavement were hurt. Information on their condition were still under review.

What led to the incident was not immediately released.
