AC Shadows Introduces Surprising AoT Crossover for Holiday Season
In a unexpected collaboration that breaks usual predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Revealed
According to the authorized release, "A mysterious confrontation pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where whispers of prohibited rituals and monstrous changes echo through the obscurity." The narrative presents a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a secret group.
The questline centers on "strange tests and a terrifying adversary" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Locations and Changes
The trailer features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, presumably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Prizes and Additional Content
Players who accomplish the quest will receive an special katana alongside numerous artifacts hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

- Mikasa costume for Naoe

Newest Free Story Update
This release also brings the game's latest no-cost story episode, titled "The Enigma."
